2 Positions
National Project Coordinator & Project Assistant
The following two positions are required on a full-time basis, for the UN Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking in the Mekong Sub-region. National Project Coordinator (NPC) will be expected to consolidate and reinforce existing initiatives and where necessary develop new activities that support the overall goal of the Regional Project. He or she will report to the Programme Manager and the Resident Coordinator in the country. The Project Assistant will report to the NPC.

Skills & Experience
· Excellent communications and networking skills and the ability to work as a team member
· Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
· A sound knowledge of the issue of trafficking in persons
· At least 5 years professional working experience
· Sound judgment and discretion
· Experience in working with government, international non-government organizations and/or UN system organizations is an asset
· University degree in relevant field (such as social sciences or law)
· Strong written and spoken Lao and English languages
· Literacy in Window-based computer applications
· Knowledge on gender and human-rights issues an advantage
Project Assistant - ToR
Skills & Experience
· Lao national with University degree in a relevant social sciences
· At least two years experience in project administration
· Experience in financial management
· Fluent in English, orally and written
· Ability to provide written and oral translations of high quality
· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
· Literacy in Windows-based computer applications
Duration/Duty Station: At the end of a probationary period of three months, subject to satisfactory performance, the contract for both positions will be reviewed for extension for a period of one year with the possibility of further extension. The incumbents will be based in Vientiane, and will travel as necessary both within the country and elsewhere in the Greater Mekong Sub-region.
